Yes, we are absolutely gutted. Its a long story. Before we took the insurance out the old vet said he had a heart murmer, which we accepted and he was treated for it. We then decided to change vets as we weren`t happy with things, the new vet decided to do an ECG which resulted in no heart murmer and taken of the pills which he didn`t need. So we then took out insurance, there were no questions asked about his medical history just his age, make and if he was healthly. So after paying for 5 years he devoloped a grade 1 murmer then devoloped into a 3/4 which had to be treated last year, they are saying we should of told them at the time of insurance....but there was nothing to tell as he was healthy. We spoke to our vet last night and he told us that a freind of his use to work for the same company and they get big bonuses for not paying out, our vets have been fab they have argued our case for the last year, but they ain`t budging, so in reality we have lost a few thousand pounds which could be paying for his treatment now.
