(I finally, at long last, saw I, Robot this past weekend, and I discovered that I had been interpreting this icon entirely the wrong way. Also, I'm glad you're enjoying the new flat!)
Since I'm spewing random thoughts all over this entry... While going through quotes I jotted down while watching the StarKid show with the inappropriate title, I ran across one I thought you would appreciate: "We're like Batman and Robin. Or Superman and *his* dick."
Last weekend I went on a shopping spree with the fam, and while at Wal-Mart I picked up this massively-on-sale tote bag with a pink-and-blue-and-yellow Bat-logo on it. It was done to look as if it had been spattered with colorful paint, and is really kind of cheerful and retro, and it really is completely unlike anything Bruce Wayne would ever actually don -- but it was Bat-ty, and truly only cost a few bucks, so of course I bought it.
Out in the parking lot, I show it to my brother.
"Cool Batman logo, huh?" I say.
"You hate him, don't you?" my brother answers.
"... actually, now that I think of it, I think it's really meant to be Batgirl's logo," I say, looking at it again. "Because cheery splashes of color _really_ aren't Batman's style ..."
"You hate him, don't you?" my brother repeats.
He has to say it a few more times before I get it: he's quoting a certain episode.
