Jim Cummings does not a Lion King make.Which is ironic, because he was A.) the Mel Blanc of Disney during its Renaissance Golden Age, and B.) actually IN The Lion King (I mean, inasmuch as anybody can be "in" an animated film). The man is responsible for, like, 40% of my childhood pop culture. And yet he STILL wasn't given enough in "The Princess and the Frog" to bring back the Disney magic

I think the problem comes from not having the songs express and move the plot enough. Emperor's New Groove and Atlantis were nice, but they didn't have songs you CARED about like the big four (89 to 94).
I am not even a fan of The Last Airbender, and yet this is exactly my feelings on the new movie myself. PLEASE, M. NIGHT, PLEASE HAVE MADE IT OKAY. :\
(... although Toy Story's the one that's gonna break my heart if it turns out to in fact suck. I have no reason to think it WILL -- all signs point to success -- and yet the tiny speck of worry is there.)
Looking at all the white actors.. I'm not sure it will be okay even if it's a good movie.
My roommate is convinced that Toy Story will be the best movie of the summer.. mostly because he thinks everything else will suck, but still. He's pretty critical and has his thumb on the pulse of the film world, so I trust'm.
