iPad owners on Flist... question...

Are there any good word processing apps out there that will let you export, or move files over to the computer in .doc, .txt, or .rtf formats? And would allow me to import in said formats ( Read more... )

I don't know if OpenOffice works with iPad, but as it works with Mac and practically everything else, it's worth a look.

I haven't seen an Open Office iPad app, so unless it's hiding from me... there's not an app for that yet. LOL I will check it out though! :)

There are a bunch that will work with google docs, but I don't want to have to go that route.

iPad being an Apple product should have a program called "TextEdit." That is what I use to make .txt and .rtf files.

Nope. it doesn't. :) It came with a barebones app called Notes, that is exactly what is says. Just for jotting down notes and emailing them to yourself.

I ended up buying the Pages app. It was more than I needed, but it was the only thing I found that did everything I wanted.

I use TextEdit and Word mostly on my laptop. (I've got a Macbook Pro)
