When I was a boy, my grandmother would send me out into the yard with scissors and a pan and tell me to fill it up with "greens" - anything that looked like a sizable leaf that wasn't brown around the edges. She would pick out the edible ones, which most in a yard are, and we'd have them for lunch, usually cooked a bit and sprinkled with vinegar. Sometimes she sauteed them in a bit of bacon grease and then added some vinegar to the pan with them still in it and some bits of bacon and she called those "wilted greens"

I have to stop peeing on the wrong plants, and get fresh water for the one's I want to encourage.
