1. Gonna have to stop by the GardenPlot this morning on the way into work to give my plantbabies a drink. It got hot enough last night I had to close the windows and turn on the AC. Especially considering who this is, I'm not brave enough to make snide comments an any woman's maternal anything, but I will say that you're making me laugh.

Regarding the blues band: What flavor of blues? Sexy, for dancing? Rocking, for listening to at dinner and not being able to not tap your feet? Country-ish? Big-band style, 4-6 piece with a singer, or what?

Mary Shaver!!! She is a wonderful blues singer, a former colleague and song-writing workshop performer. She plays with a couple local blues bands. She will do a wonderful show for you.

#3: See, and last night at 10pm, I'm still out, hacking down, sawing through and hauling last year's trumpet vine canes out of the evergreens, so I can get the vine back to manageable proportions.

If we put your carrot-nurturing earth mother with my vicious-pruner Shiva-ness, we'd have a one hell of a garden goddess.
