What sort of crunches are you doing? Just straight up crunches or are you working with weights or a medicine ball? I switch it up some, but still haven't found something I really *feel*. I've got a funny bit of a "deformity" of the sacrum and tailbone thanks to breaking it when I was sixteen, so I tend to roll to the left a bit on the upswing of a crunch. The bicycle move doesn't go well with that at all. I am trying to learn to use a ball, getting better at that one and it doesn't make me roll the same on the up.

Back to the gymn this evening and an extra set of crunches. :)

mostly I do straight-up crunches, with sets on either sides to work obliques on the gym ab-machines that look kind of like this:

About once a week, I use the yoga ball for my crunches to give more backward movement and switch things up a bit plus adding some more challenge to maintaining balance and core stability.

Perhaps you should consider other core exercises instead of crunches.

It is always interesting reading your posts. I look forward to meeting at Pennsic and talking about fitness etc.

Regarding the characters at the gym in my weight area people are busy working rather than stalking. I have not noticed any guys wearing God togs in my gym but I do notice the girls in Goddess Togs but I try not to look too much (don't want to be the perv in the weight area).
