Counseling? Really? Excuse me, but while I fully respect everyone's decisions about the delinquents' appropriate punishments, don't you guys think this is a little bit too much?

They messed up. They're not emotionally disturbed, they're teenagers. Besides, I think along with bombarding them with punishments and general schoolwork and having to put ( Read more... )

One needn't be emotionally disturbed for counselling to have some benefit to them. At worst, the students will have wasted an hour or two of their time, and at best, some of them will turn out better for it.

I don't see how sitting and listening to people make assumptions about me or asking me asinine questions about why I feel that I need attention or am self destructive as very productive.
