Old post, but...I love the Sandman series and I wish there were more fanfics out there. Your characterization of Desire is so spot on. Makes you wonder if Desire him/herself has a crush on Dream...thus all the failed relationships to draw him closer.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting. It always did seem to me that Desire was more than a little obsessed with Dream, the way he/she was always scheming to get his attention.
