Awesome concept, awesome choices - though I'm surprised not to see Programmable Soda there. Of course it's about a very specific kind of self-changeability.
Tori Amos! It's on the American Doll Posse album - I though you'd know it as I know you know Tori. "Think of me as programmable soda. Too much cherry? Baby, then, you can just add cola. I know you can be a cruel fella, so okay, then I'll just back off to vanilla."
I'm afraid I've gotten a few years behind on Tori Amos albums. I'm still digesting Beekeeper which I didn't really get into until a couple months ago when I become fixated on "The Power of Orange Knickers". II download a copy of American Doll Posse a a while ago but I haven't really listened to it yet. "Programmable Soda" sounds like a great song thought, I'll make a point of giving it a listen.
good song choices (and good artists). this is very nicely put together.
thank you for making and sharing it! <3
i think i like the show so far more than you do; but either way, that's some interesting insight you've got there. not sure i've thought about it so in-depth, myself -- but i think i agree. it really does seem to reflect/comment on the social phenomenon of people consciously rebuilding themselves to suit their environment, or others around them.

Thanks so much for commenting, I hope you enjoy the mix. I do feel like the show is growing on me (I'm up to episode 4 now). I thought the first episode was pretty formulaic but it's starting to unfold in some interesting directions.

yeah, i think i know what you mean.
i actually saw last week's episode (which... yeah, i think would be #4) with jedipirate before i saw any of the others -- they were on my tivo, but i hadn't had time/felt like watching them yet.
which might explain why i got to like it so quickly. i mean, i must admit, i was very skeptical about this show... i don't think i'd have even given it a chance, if joss whedon wasn't involved. :/

I've been having difficulty writing lately but I'm trying not to let my creativity completely dry up and wither away.
I'm not framiliar with "Programmable Soda", who sings it?
