So I am lame about forgetting my camera when I go to photogenic places -- hence no pictures from the harrowing field trip to the American Shakespeare Center in Virginia. Criation isn't a fake word. But most likely one made up. As the babies are called 'cria', 'criation' might just be a play on the word 'creation', if because of nothing else other than it suited the whole thing altogether.

AAAAAAAA Alpacas and Llllllamas! And baby ones too. SO SO CUTE!!!

It sounds a like a great day out!

I guess they took the native -- what, Peruvian? -- word for a baby llama and made it a verb and noun by adding Latinate endings on it. It just sounds a little too good to be true...

But still, CUTE! It was a fun little outing, and it got me away from the depressing place I generally am, so it all worked out.

Llamas! I never knew what kinds of sounds llamas make till last weekend -- kind of a distressed sounding MMMMMMMPH noise that is better imitated than typed. (The farmers told us the llama was not really distressed, just making a llama sound.)

Baby animals are always cute, but that white baby alpaca looks just like a lamb that's been stretched a bit. Cute!
