I am perhaps a weirdo, but Naoto's balls are/were pretty cute! Like a little cotton ball. Alas, they are now gone forever -- or so I assume. I am picking them up this afternoon, since the vet kept them overnight. And then I guess I'll chill around the house all weekend to keep an eye on them and hopefully read something useful for my mythical research.
Awww, RIP indeed. They are randomly cute and innocuous-looking ^^; Poor Naru, though--abdominal surgery is no joke >_<
I've all sorts of plans of productivity today--I'm going to campus to print out the bits I have so far and then off to a new coffeeshop--I have mandated 4 hours of legit work on the chapter today. After that, I will spend one hour on midterms, which should get me through maybe half of the pile.
After that . . . I am contemplating making some cookie dough . . . small batches, though--last time, I ended up throwing out a couple batches because I made so much.
Poor Naru is now suffering the humiliation of an inflatable collar thing that will keep her from licking her stitches. She seems miserable and all her movements are very tentative. Also does not want to eat (and the vet said they hadn't seen her eat today while she was there either).
Naoto is totally fine, but with a bald spot and little pinprick wounds.

Poor things >_< Good luck on keeping them pretty calm and such.
But RIP Naoto's balls just made me snort mightily with laughter ^^;
