Come on, NTV. If you're spending two and a half hours to get them into make-up, does that mean you have no time left to stop and do a second take when your monster's bits are coming off?
LOL I didn't even see that when I watched the episode today but now that you mention it.. XD Though things like that don't bother me as much usually. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I would have thought. I guess I just like watching Ohno being a foul-mouthed brat like that ;D
I'm also enjoying the brattiness -- and the shifts in vocal inflection when he's being semi-badass (or at least, haughty prince). I enjoy gravelly Ohno lots! &hearts
It's generally quite cute, even if it does remind me an awful lot of Sailor Moon (at least, the apparently recurrent schemes by underworld denizens to suck the life force out of humans by playing on their desires, all in order to revive a fallen leader). But then, I like Sailor Moon quite a lot, so it all comes out in the wash.
I actually only noticed this make-up malfunction because I paused the video to answer the phone and it just happened to be right there. I think they've actually done a really nice job, so I just felt a little *arrgh* when I saw this. (It looked worse in the HQ, but I killed the quality putting in the arrow because I suck at this kind of thing.)
I skimmed through the episode but didn't notice that. I'll look for it when I watch it in its entirety this weekend. Hopefully I can laugh through it, like I usually do with screw-ups, bad acting, cheesy dialogue, etc.
It's not my kind of drama, but the story seemed OK, and Ohno pulled off kaibutsu-kun pretty well. I didn't think a 30-year-old can pull off this kind of role.
I like it! Really! Ohno's pretty good at switching between adorable and whiny and kind of dangerous.
I was just frustrated with the carelessness at this moment. Meh. I didn't notice other such make-up trouble, though I didn't start looking for it till the last fifteen minutes or so. Possibly because they kept distracting me with naked Mabo-in-a-jar.
But yes, cheesy dialogue in spades. To be expected of this genre, I think, and not ruining it for me by any means. And the cheesiest speech in the hour was met with a sort of 'wtf' response from the other characters -- and I can always get behind that sort of self-awareness.
