Boston: Three for Thai Fud.

Tucker's just been busy. As soon as he got into Boston from his post-recovery stint in Maine, he's been slammed at work. The first free weekend he had was spent crash and burning with Warren's dad in New Jersey. It was while on that trip that Warren and Tucker agreed to get back to the cabin in Maine as soon as possible ( Read more... )

Amy has been…kind of drifting lately. Keeping to herself a bit. Maybe it’s the whole father almost dying thing. Maybe it’s something else. Who knows, really?

It is kind of amazing, weird, something, that she and Tucker had done so much together then, separated and now hey look, I know you… So she’s seen him, but not really seen him, and she literally hasn’t since he went and got his face chomped on by a Fendu demon ( ... )

"Hey!" Tucker says, standing up. He moves around the edge of the table to kiss Amy on the cheek (one way to ensure she gets a good, close look at how ugly he is now). It's a chaste one and he delivers it with a smile and a squeeze to the elbow. He kicks her chair out for her, in a misguided attempt to be gentlemanly. "Nice to see you, Miss Amy. You look great."

Once she's seated, he takes his place back with Warren and reaches over to get the wine list.

"Anyone else want to try Thai beer?"

"Hey."

Warren doesn't stand and kiss anything, but he looks pleased enough to see her. Polite.

"Likewise: good to see you."

Barely awkward. Barely.

Still not going to comment on the face. We can save that for after they’ve all had a few beers or something, right? Right.

And really, all of Tucker’s attempts to be gentlemanly had been somewhat misguided. It was just another one of his quirks. He meant well and did put in the effort it just…didn’t quite reach all the way. Amy smirked, arching an eyebrow at the chair and Tucker for a very brief moment as she sat down. Some things never changed, apparently.

For a moment she turned her attention to the other male present. “It’s good to see you too, Warren.” No awkwardness here. At least not yet. Really, any other type of greeting from him might have been the perfect way to cause some…

“And why not? If we’re going to do Thai, we might as well have the full experience, right?”
