[ Puck had, initially, been really excited about the whole thing. He knew Abby wasn't officially in glee club since Kurt left, but guest appearances were clearly okay. And since Holly was back, well- That made him want to drag her in even more.

The song itself isn't really Puck's 'cup of tea', or so they say. But it was nice seeing Santana sing something that didn't include her being a raging crazy bitch about something. So, y'know, he could deal with the country vibe it was sending out ( ... )

[ She's actually incredibly thankful when Puck grabs her hand; it's something to anchor her back to reality. Keeps her from completely falling apart right then and there. Which would be a total disaster for more than one reason, especially considering that when she opens her eyes, she notices a couple of people looking over at her, which just makes the feeling deepen.

A bit desperately, Abby tightens her hand around Puck's and nods a few times, being not so much led out as basically pulling Puck out behind her as she darts from the room. ]

I-I'm sorry, I...it's... [ Swallows against the knot in her throat and chokes back another sob, wiping her burning eyes. ] --yeah, let's go, I need to...I need to leave. Please, let's hurry. I just can't--I can't.

It's fine, just- Hang on, we'll be out of here in five minutes, tops.

[ He basically runs for the parking lot with her, doesn't bother to think for either of them to stop and grab things from their lockers -- do they really need it right now? Puck pulls his keys from the pocket of his jeans, unlocks the doors and offers Abby a hand to help her up into the truck before he shuts the door behind her, getting in on the driver's side.

There's not even a pause once he's in before he turns on the truck, throws it in reverse, before driving out of the parking lot as fast as he can. He has no idea where to take her, but it won't be far on only a quarter tank of gas.

Which means- ]

Gotta stop for gas, and then we're out of here. [ Which means gas and basically all the shitty food he can grab at the convenience store. ]

[ It's a surreal sort of feeling, pretty much running through the empty halls of the school and hanging onto Puck's hand like a lifeline, the vague thought of the walls closing in and strangling them skirting on the edges of her mind before they break free. Out in the sunshine, she takes a long, shaky breath, managing to smile a little as he helps her into the truck.

She's a bit ashamed of herself, for making such a spectacle of herself, but there's also not a whole lot she could have done to prevent it. There'd been no way of expecting it, no way to steel herself against the sudden emotional onslaught. So...it's a little humiliating, and she hates to impose on Puck like this, but another part of her knows it's not exactly a chore for him to bail on class with her. ]

That's...that's fine. [ Manages a bit of a better smile, despite her eyes still being glossy and a little too bright. ] I-it's already a little better.
