[I hope you were enjoying a nice, peaceful day, Luceti. Normally, the natural game keeps deeper in the forest. But, as you know deer are, they started to shift their typical grounds to avoid Moro. Lately, she's been hunting a LOT pretty close to the village, since that's where the deer seem to think they're a little safer. On this day in

Dropped.
Did a giant wolf speed right past his head just to bulldoze a deer into a gush of blood? He takes a step backwards and holds his crucifix nervously. Not in a threatening way, mind you, but in a way that says 'if she tries to bit me in half she'll probably break her teeth on it'.]

...But she was too content at the moment to growl.]

He shifts and exhales a long-held puff of cigarette smoke, looking surprised. He felt a little more at ease 'meeting' her in the village instead of the forest. Still, his inner battle strategist is already surmising things. Couldn't really help it, at this point of his life.]
I'll take that as a yes.

...Well. Uh. She drops her prey, and now there is growling.]

...Moro, right?
[Hum... better think up something that won't piss her off. 'I won't do anything' sounds like he really might, and 'I'm not a fighting type' is a pretty lame defense against the gun thing. Might as well just be honest.]

[And of course he notices that patch, and nods toward it.]
Is that what made you hate gunmen, or was it long before that?
[Ginko'd brought it up. The bullet that was slowly killing her; it was that reason there that he'd found himself far more understanding as to why she was the way she was.]

[Wolfwood isn't exactly a tree-hugger, of course, but the idea that someone would intentionally try and destroy something so calming and unheard of in his world surprises him.]
She sounds like she's pretty damn unpleasant, then.

Do you think it was a lesson learned, or do you have your doubts about horrible humans being able to change their ways?

They've already killed the Forest Spirit. The very god of Life and Death. They've already destroyed the forest, and they will all die.
I regret only not being able to devour her before she led them to the Forest Spirit. I failed him.
