[Derek's making his way home from spending a day at the edge of the forest, talking to the filial spirits. His senses tell him something is 'off' before he even sees anything, and he frowns as he turns the corner.

What's that...oh!

He sees Moro, and then realizes that the scent was actually familiar. It was just a little different, being mixed with brick and dead wood, rather than trees and other plant life.

He bows his head at Moro when he sees her, respectful as ever. He looks thinner and she might smell a slight under current of stress on him.]
