[This little fluffball has been scarce - between staying with San and Ginko to be fed and nurtured, she hasn't really been roaming. However, San had gotten into a fight with a demon, and that wasn't a safe place to be... but staying in the company of humans for too long was ill-suited for a young god ( Read more... )

[Action] And how big is little Moro? About the size of a normal grown dog? goldenglasses November 17 2010, 00:20:42 UTC
[There is a tall blond haired man in a red coat just headed into the forest when - he suddenly spots a flash of white. His body reacts before his brain catches up that this flash of white is a lot smaller than it should be.] GAHHHHHHHHHH! DON'T EAT ME! [It's an auto-response now.]

M-maybe, but there are more things to be learned than just that!

[And he decides to not get into the "no kill" speech with a little pup when it's obvious you mean for food. He'll just... move on.]

But that is the most important. Without that knowledge, I will die.

But there's so much more to life than killing.

To live, I must kill.

And when I grow large, and strong, like mother... I will take her role as a god of war. I will swiftly and decisively end battles, devouring invaders that march towards the Forest Spirit. I will protect him with my life... that is why I was born. And to live for him, so that I may die for him, I cannot let myself starve.

But you don't need to kill to end fights! You may be the God of War, but violence never solves anything. It only brings more violence. There's always a better way to put a stop to fighting, without killing.

...There is?

Yes, there always is. It's up to each of us to keep our vision of the future clear so we can see it. It's up to each of us to stop the circle of violence, and once we do, everyone will be able to live their lives in peace. Without fear of violence or stealing. Then the forest will always be safe.

...Mother said that humans are inclined to violence. It only takes one to suggest violence for the rest to follow.

No, humans are just survivors. They aren't inclined to violence unless they are forced to. Like any cornered animal, right? [He figures that analogy would help you understand it the best; even if it's one he doesn't particularly like.]

But they also fight to gain more territory.

Not if someone was to teach them how to share. I'm not saying it's perfect yet, it will take some work, b-but the best way to end war is to teach people new ways to live so wars never start, right?

Be an example. Stop fights with love, kindness, and understanding instead of just killing people. After all, everyone can change. So if you save someone then they will learn that peace is the way to go and they will teach others!

That's how you stop the circle of violence and end wars.

...What if they're still violent anyway?

What if they intended to kill the Forest Spirit? To cut off his head so that they could live forever...

Mother said that we needed to kill the humans that would try.

Then you need to explain to them how that is wrong. To stop them, but without killing. If you kill them, then it will only make the people they left behind angry and then they will attack in revenge for their fallen friends and still not understand the error of what they are doing.
