Another great read. You have such a great grasp of the characters, making this story very easy to read and believeable, in a vampire, slayer post-apocolypse way :)

Great chapter. Love the relationship between Buffy and Faith - still wary, not completely trusting on Buffy's part and yet absolutely no question about doing whatever is needed together.

Thank you! I've always loved the relationship between them, and wanted to explore it. In Chosen, the scene where they both hold the scythe and talk about being leaders, I really got the sense that they could grow beyond their past and find a new level of understanding. They're sisters under the skin, but there'll always be that animosity Buffy feels towards her. The reasons for this, more than just all the crap Faith has put her through, will become clearer down the line ;)

Gosh, it's like the last 5 years never happened and we're still days after NFA. I thought this was amazingly polished and so dead-on for Buffy and especially Faith. Oh sewers how I've missed you. I look forward to more of this intriguing tale.

She imagined how he had stood here and watched the sunrise break bright over the L.A. skyline, as she danced and slayed half a world away in the shadow of the moon. The irony of that wasn’t lost on her. She thought about how his face would look in the sunlight and blinked rapidly, the idea so foreign and yet somehow achingly familiar. As if that beautiful sight had once been hers to behold.

I like that you remind us of moments like this, moments we saw on Angel. His staring out the windows enjoying the feel of the sun on his face.

And love Buffy and Faith. Faith telling Buffy that Angel saves her, and she saves him, and Buffy feeling a little hurt and jealous. Indeed, already jealous that Faith has an insight into Angel that she herself will never have.

I think as both series in totality kind of blend into this overarching greatness, it's easy to forget the little (and big) moments that Buffy and Angel missed in each other's lives. I just wanted to highlight that :)

I love the Buffy/Faith dynamic, esp where Angel is concerned and how so much of their animosity stems from their relationships with him.

Oh, I just found this from the buffyverse top 5 thing and I am so excited to see it! I'm going to have to force myself to go to bed and not sit here and read 17 chapters in one sitting! Can't wait to see where this is headed!
