[ a young man sits from somewhere indoors, gazing down at the device he is currently broadcasting from with no particular look or emotion evident upon his face. ]

It's rather primitive, don't you agree? [ he states in bemusement, lifting the device slightly above his head in scrutiny between an index finger and a thumb. ]

[ there's a satirical ( Read more... )

Connecting to what? [A pause.]

For as long as the fae want.

If you have to ask, then I assume you can't be of any help in that area.

[ he wasn't planning on any elaboration anyway - but you never know, since people have an odd way of surprising, and he's not going to let himself be surprised again.

although this whole "demeleier" business was a surprise in itself, but that's beside the point. ]

And what do the fae truly "want" or stand to gain from this occupancy, if you know the answer? [ he doubts that you do. ]

[Chell shrugs.] They haven't made it clear. They easily help and antagonize us.

Antagonize how?

Unfortunately, that's an answer the residents can't give. You could leave us tomorrow, or you could be here for a considerably longer time.

[Interesting, how he's already found his way indoors. There may well be more he's put together, but that will show in time.]

As for that charming crown, it has its uses. Rowan is a valuable resource here, infact.

What a thrilling concept - I'm sure it keeps many on edge. How simplistic.

[ the fae themselves might not be human, but they were still a lesser creature. even moreso in the fact that they didn't appear to act on motive, but rather what seemed to be a silly little thing called a "game". ]

I should hope there be a further meaning to that - since rowan in itself is not particularly valuable where I'm from.

[ it just keeps getting more and more primitive... ]

[He smiles, just a little, but says nothing to that. Instead, he'll give information.]

Likewise. However, in Demeleier it serves an important purpose. We share this place with a group of beings known as fae - some are friendly, others are far less helpful. With rowan, we are able to avoid falling prey to much of their power.

To "much"? So not all, then?

What is the point of a protection that isn't 100% functional?

Che, primitive? What kind of world do you come from, human?

[ HE IS SO OFFENDED AT THE "HUMAN" BIT. ]

A less primitive one, clearly.

I take it that you're not a human?

[ though whatever she is it's CLEARLY undeveloped if she doesn't realize how primitive the place is. ]

Clearly.

Nothing is quite clear when you opt for the audio option - to the eye, at least.

The unpleasant tone in your voice rings rather distinctly, however.

[Kind of raising his eyebrows, because what kind of name is Ribbons, bro...]

Primitive? That's an understatement. [You start to miss technology after a while in a place like this.]

You might as well make yourself comfortable, Mr. Almark. It's possible that you're going to be here for a while.

How inconvenient - but I fully intend to do just that.

[ he figured it was an understatement but he's being ~polite~ ok.

and that's god almark to you but he'll let it slide. ]

Not very. It is a "new" predicament, after all.

Do you have something to enlighten me with?

[ maybe enlighten isn't the best word since we're already at A HIGHER STATE!!! here. ]

[Tieria frowns at the communicator - everybody's reaction is always the same.

They all wonder what the disgusting rowan crown is, they all want to know how long they'll be here and if they'll ever be able to go home, and some agree with him in the belief that this place is disgusting and unbelievably crude.

None of them truly deserve his time, but if a quick explanation would get them to shut their mouths any sooner, then giving of his time is necessary.]

You're in Demeleier, there is no way to return to your home.

[ and his relaxed, adaptable mood goes sour - there's a frown now.

demeleier itself wasn't expected, but he'd remained overall open to the idea of it - minus the absence of veda which kind of ticked him off.

this though, wasn't something he was open to or had prepared for... especially since he's pretty sure he'd killed this meister nearly an hour prior to this broadcast.

tieria didn't have the methods to revive himself like he himself did, he's sure of that - this is a little irritating.

he could totally lock this broadcast from hereon out, but the convenience of quantum brainwaves means there's no need for that. ]

What are you doing here?

Or rather, how did you get here?

[ directly asking is the way to go!! ]

[He lets the communicator fall from his hands and hit the ground when he hears the voice clearly in his head and not through the communicator.

Veda.

Where was Veda when he needed the comfort and security and completeness that the supercomputer always used to offer... Nothing could settle him quite like Veda could, and that was all taken away before he arrived in Demeleier.

Veda was taken away. Lockon was taken away. Everything was taken away.

But thinking about that will do him no good in Demeleier! He doesn't have Veda here! He will never have Veda to comfort him and help calm his anxieties and fears in Demeleier...]

W-What is going on...

[Pale fingers held fists full of purple hair as he took deep breaths. Where did that voice come from?

It couldn't have been in his head. Impossible. Things like that don't happen... Things like that can't happen.]
