Yesterday was great. I got up at 6, woke the kids, sent one to the shower and the other downstairs to eat breakfast and brush teeth. I got stuff together, made my bed and jumped in the shower when the kid got out. Took the kid to school, went to work, had a good busy morning, great lunch with my co-workers at Tortilla Flats yada yada. The afternoon ( Read more... )

Tortilla Flats has betrayed you. staringgoldfish December 18 2008, 17:49:42 UTC
When I was living with the folks, the second time, I believe, I developed a similar problem, only with the benefit of my Mom insisting on standing in the bathroom with the door open, offering the living room a good look at the proceedings, while I perched on the toilet and barfed into the whatsit that held the toilet brush. "Get outta here, what's wrong with you?" and a couple well placed barbs later, I had the biffy to myself with the door closed.

Stand there holding the door open while your twenty-five year old son's integumentary system purges itself . . . Old nurses, donchaknow.

It was just Mom. When she finally got the hell out I heard Dad read her the riot act. Some people don't understand borders.

Ugh, I had a similar experience in May. I blame the deli at Kroger. Ended up in the ER getting IV fluids after I barfed up everything for over 24 hours, including the tiny amount of water I took in from sucking on ice chips. Try to at least get some fluids (your electrolytes are prob. out of whack, so something like Gatorade would be good) and don't be afraid to see a doctor if you're really dizzy and weak and stop having to pee.

I've got a bunch of G2 in the fridge. I'm about to try to eat some wheat toast and chase it with a G2 in a minute. We'll see how that goes. The walk in clinic is 3 blocks away, so if I get concerned I'll head over there.
