Hockey! [waves hands] Please!!! I am into both Hockey and Hockey RPF. I will always talk hockey with people. I must warn everyone ahead of time - I am a Flyers fan. Totally unrepentant about it too. The only other teams I follow closely are the Pens and 'Hawks. I know that dine has an NHL Game Center Subscription so if we can hook a laptop to a television somewhere we can get games that way. But only if they're not the nationally televised games.

And I'm sure the hotel televisions have NBCSN, so we should be fine :D

I have very conflicted feelings about the Pens. Fannishly they're my favorite team and I'm an unrepentant Sid/Geno 'shipper. But I haaate them when they're playing the Flyers. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the Flyers goad Crosby and Malkin into taking bad penalties.

Did I tell you I went to a Flyers/Devils game this year & enjoyed it so much! I was disappointed by the lack of penalties though. Even Pens/Flyers games have been surprisingly tame this season. CBJ on the other hand...

yay! hanging with hockey peeps will be the BEST. I'm a Caps fan primarily, though I also follow the Pens & Hawks (the things one does for fandom) and my GCL subscription will def. be available for games not on NBCSN. I was looking at the schedule and printed it out, and there are a ton of them this last week

My laptop will be playing the PHX/SJ game Saturday evening and the PHX/DAL game Sunday evening, and whoever wants to watch those with me is welcome as long as they respect Mike Smith. (Seriously, no digs about diving. We're flailing for a wildcard spot and he's just coming back from injury; I have no tolerance for bullshit at this time.)

Aside from that, if anyone wants to watch games with my GCL subscription (doesn't matter if they're airing nationally, I get them regardless), talk to me.

Huh. The NHL standings say the Wild haven't clinched, but I'm looking at the numbers and I don't think it's actually possible for Phoenix to overtake Minnesota anymore. We could tie you in points, if we win all our remaining games and you lose all yours in regulation, in which case we'd be tied at 34 in ROW. But the next tiebreaker is points earned in games between the two teams in question, and you've got us beat 4-2 there. And Dallas is the only other team that could overtake you, so it looks to me like you should be clinched right now. Am I missing something?

I genuinely don't know, but I haven't gotten a clinch notification yet, and like, I'm WARY, okay, #MINNESOTA SPORTS, I AM PROGRAMMED TO BE CAUTIOUSLY HOPEFUL BUT BRACED FOR DISAPPOINTMENT

(going into the last 12 games last year, we had a 96% chance of making the playoffs. It came down to THE LITERAL LAST GAME OF THE SEASON.)
