A quick recap of recent events, and March Bitchin' Buddies!
HELLO PARTIERS. Today we are here to ponder the timeless question, "Where the fuck did February go?" Followed by the inevitable conclusion, "OMG ONLY FIVE WEEKS TILL BITCHIN' PARTY!" So, some things:
- me_maneuver is looking for mods and co-mods for a few panels here, and the deadline to volunteer is TOMORROW (Thursday)! And PS, if you think you might be interested in modding but are feeling intimidated, bear in mind that fanpeople are SMART and ARTICULATE and tend to have A LOT OF FEELINGS, so if you give them a solid starting point and even vaguely remember the order in which people have raised their hands, then the 50 minutes usually flies by. FWIW! :)
- romanticalgirl is collecting flight info here, if you're looking for a ride from the airport.
- Speaking of which, a note about scheduling: the detailed con schedule is still in progress, but I wanted to remind you that we will officially run from Saturday morning at 9 a.m. until Sunday at 5 p.m., with some unofficial activities on Friday night (registration check-in will be open, and we will be choosing something ridiculous and mildly traumatizing [in an "OMG someone paid money to make that" kind of way] to watch in the main con ballroom; historically this has been the pilot of Dante's Cove, but we are looking for something new this year, so STAY TUNED FOR RIDICULOUSNESS). So hopefully that will help you make your travel arrangements. And don't forget that the deadline for making your hotel reservations is March 9 (after which you will not be guaranteed a room in the con block).
- There are still a few spots open for registration, so you should totally come hang out with us! Relatedly, please remember that the deadline for refunds is March 9.
- Since March is coming right the hell up, I am also taking sign-ups for a new round of Bitchin' Buddies! If you missed the explanation, please see this post. This round will run from March 2 - March 23 (so we can get everything wrapped up before the week of the con itself). Despite LJ's ~sensitive nature regarding anonymous comments and links, the current round has been REALLY fun for me to watch--you guys make me happy about the world, honestly. So if you'd like to sign up for the March round of Bitchin' Buddies, please tick the tickybox below by midnight PST on Wednesday, February 29. February BBs will be revealed on March 1, and new buddy assignments will go out March 2.
