Cancled PoC Panel Alternitive?
Since no one came forward to mod the "Writing Characters of Color and Cultures Not Your Own" panel it's not happening, but if there's enough interest, maybe we could gather for a dinner or lunch discussion instead? I loved the idea of the panel from the moment I read it, but in no way felt qualified to mod it myself. But I still think it's a great idea and would love to get together and toss around ideas and views about the subject. Exchange ideas, experiences, what seems a bad idea or offensive to us versus how would it be felt from another POV? What writers seem to do it well, what fics fail at it miserably?
It might not be as smooth or instructional as panel, but we could at least get some discussion on it going! Maybe?
