Ok. I've made no secret about my disdain for the MBTA. To be fair, it's usually the lack of adherence to their own schedule that bothers me most. However, as ridership increases (and will likely continue to increase due to soaring gas prices and fewer and fewer parking spaces available), the riders themselves are irritating me more and more

Workdays, I'm accustomed to the hale commuting crowd. I'm one of the people that usually just doesn't notice. I get on at Alewife, so I always get a seat. And then I'm utterly engrossed in a book and don't notice anything around me until I get off at my stop.

But I will also admit to giving up my seat whenever I do spy someone that needs it. Obviously pregnant women, elderly people (who often try to wave me off), and to toddlers whose parents chose not to bring a big stroller onto a crowded rush-hour train.
