Poison, potion, tomayto, tomahto.
. . . yeah.
No bruising, though there'd been a little bit of ow, which Katchoo'd be gracious enough to let slide this time.
"Because it'll be fine if everything goes smoothly, that's why," she volunteered. That was a lot to hang on an 'if,' but for cryin' out loud, nobody would let her just knock Uther in the head as much as she wished she could. That probably wouldn't work anyway.

Somehow it was plausible that Merlin had been knocked out by a mysterious falling vase for the exact amount of time necessary to draw out a dramatic moment.
Which would be why he was running into the room like a complete madman.
Look, no one said this was high quality entertainment.

Jonas scrambled after him on all fours, dashing towards the room. Uther didn't notice him: he was cradling his son's body and staring up at Catrina as if he was seeing her for the first time.
"Dear Lord!" he shouted, and drew his sword on Catrina.
She was babbling.
Arthur was fading away quickly. Courtesy of the plot.

"You just said it wasn't important!"

"Oh, god," Uther said, thickly. "My son--"
He fell to his knees by Arthur's prone body, and gathered him up in his arms.

"No no no, get off him!" she cried, and threw herself bodily at the man.
