Woods Near the Citadel, Camelot, Friday Morning

The thought going through Francine's mind when the name popped up on her phone as they waited for the portal to take them from New Gotham to London was pretty much a constant loop of not telling him about getting kidnapped, not telling him about getting kidnapped, not telling him about getting kidnapped...

Let's see how long that lasts, shall we?

"Hi, Arthur!" Well, it was a little too cheery, but neither 'kidnapped' nor 'hostage' appeared in it.

"They tried!" Why Francine felt she had to defend the police in a city that needed Dinah and her sisters to help fight crime... she had no idea. "But there were guns and stuff, and most of the cops were wearing tuxedos. It's like if somebody ... I don't know. Attacked your knights when they were all dressed for a royal feast or something."

Because she had any idea what knights wore for a royal feast.

"They've managed to hold their own in such circumstances," Arthur said, pointedly.

"The cops probably had their guns too, but..." But there was gas of some sort and there was a room full of civilians and there was also the fact that honestly the cops hadn't seemed all that great at their jobs. They were no Agent Gibbs. "I don't know. The point is nobody got hurt!"

"Yes. You were fortunate."

He ran a hand through his hair. "How is Katchoo?"

"Well, at least the bandits knew how to handle her..." he drawled, dryly.

"I asked them to take it off! But they kept saying they didn't want to get bitten."

"It is a fairly high risk when Katchoo's involved. Although I would have loved to have seen that."

Yes, he'd been worried. That didn't mean he didn't recognize the hilarity inherent in Katchoo's... Katchooness. "The rest of the trip...?"

"Was fine! Unless you think getting served cookies and tea by the world's best butler is dangerous."

"Sounds like at least you didn't leave the house for the rest of it," he muttered.

"Not much," Francine admitted. "Except for, you know, now. We're heading off to London next."
