From the looks of things, and judging how well I can fit in my tea cup, I'd say about fifteen centimetres, give or take a millimetre or two.

[ah hah! there you are, Doctor. the TARDIS has been looking for you everywhere. her head peeks into the kitchen -- from a decidedly lower angle than it probably should be -- before she disappears. when she comes back, her appearance is accompanied by scaping and quiet grunts, until she's able to move the stool into a position that lets her look over the countertop.

unlike you, Doctor, she could give a whit her clothes no longer fit]

Doctor. I have been searching for you.

[his eyes widen slightly from how different her voice sounds to him, and he just about plugs his ears. though when he speaks, he'll sound like he's been inhaling helium.] Softer, old girl. Not so loud.

[completely ignores that second part, opting instead to grab the teacup and draw it closer. she does lower her voice, however]

Why are you in a teacup?

If you've cared to notice, I'm not the only one like this. And the Captain's never liked me--sad truth in the universe, really--so this could very well be him punishing me more because he damned well felt like it!

[sighs and waves a hand, splashing some water out of his cup.] Go on, get it out. I don't need a thought bubble to see that you're just dying to say something.
