Agree with you to a certain extent. Regarding kids I think if the couple is really broke then shouldn't have lah, but if manageable still ok just have to live with less stuff. Dead broke people shouldn't have kids though IMO cos if you can't even feed yourself don't bring a kid into the world and make the kid suffer
I guess she really wants to have a family, kids and all. But to want to find a man in order to be financially stable for a child is... I don't understand?!
I agree that if the couple has no money to feed another mouth, they shouldn't have kids. I guess these people would be too pre-occupied to survive so wouldn't even think of wanting children anyway.
My pri sch close friend has money issue and is pregnant with her second child now. Two years ago, she was going on about getting a divorce and so on. A few months ago, she was still saying how her husband got hold of a sum of money (sabings probably) and lost them all in stocks. I related this to another friend and she told me that she would have aborted the child. I dunno, I'm not a mother or my friend to know what I would do. It's tiring though, to see and hear all these.
Wow very desperate to find someone. Even before she has found the right one, she is thinking about marriage and children. Probably she is feeling very insecure emotionally. You are so nice to offer help her find someone.
I dunno whether to label her desperate or not (in my standards, quite desperate liao). Actually, I do think if I met someone I really like, I probably could have a child with him. I do think about that, like day dreaming like that. I just don't go out and socialise. I prefer to let it happen then to seek lor... Cos if I were to seek, I get someone who is on the same page BUT I may not like that much. It's not easy to find someone I like PLUS, he's on the same page. Hur hur.
