Attended a talk at Central Library by a Marcus Langdon (!) on, not symbols, but archived records on the Straits Settlements. Saw some pretty good drawings of Singapura with surrounding islets like Sentosa, Pulau Hantu, Pulau Brani, Pulau Sajari (or something that starts with an S and ends with an I). ACM. Today last day. Free entrance yesterday was form 5pm and they opened till midnight last night. But pay lah, the queue after I got out streched all te way to VCH!!! Use Amex get 1 for 1 so ended up paying $4 only. 3pm got guided tour, quite useful. Then after that see Steve McCurry's Afghan girl.
