Five books I've recently read:

OF COURSE I'M READING YOUR BOOK ALSO. HOW COULD I NOT MENTION IT AMONG THE CURRENT READING LIST?!?

As penance for my sins, I will bring no other reading materials to Thanksgiving 1.0. Furthermore, I promise a Keepers of Cala post when I have caught up. Just please, PLEASE, do not make me into a character in your book who betrays his loved ones, only to be tortured and killed in a most undignified manner.

This is the equivalent of a total smack-down. One word has never been more effective.

We were running errands and he said, "I can only take S_V's book for Thanksgiving reading". And I said "Oh! Good idea!", and then he reminded me of this post, and asked if I'd seen your comment. At which point I asked if he got a nasty-gram because he forgot to put "the" book in his list. And he said, no, just one word... At which point I laughed out loud because he just got served. The reading will now commence (or continue). hehehe.
