Looking through the list

I was looking through the list of each of your block requests...

Clumsy-Chord: I found a quick and dirty Bento box pattern posted by none other then SonnetoftheMoon at her other blog, Sonnet of the Moon, Bento Box Pattern. If you were up for it you could have everyone make you two blocks (making them all two in return) then cutting them up and stitching them all together ( Read more... )

I'd actually sent in a PDF file containing a pattern, as well as an illustration of the finished block. If everyone likes, I can send that file out as an attachment.

I went through the Quilters' Cache last night bookmarking blocks that I might make for the 5" and 10" ones. There was all of one 5" block and I didn't like it. However, there were plenty of 10" blocks that would work fine scaled down. Try any of the following ( ... )

I'd be quite up for making you four 4" blocks (since you said you'd prefer smaller blocks, of course I could make them bigger too. Please just let me know) for 2 of my blocks. Also I'd really rather have a mish mash of hot and cold colors in each block so it has a scrappy feel if you don't mind... =)

BTW the color wheels are pretty cool. I like the first one as a visual reference for calling out more specific color since "green" or "aqua" can mean different things to different people.

I said I'd prefer smaller blocks? Are you sure it was me, and if so, where? I really don't mind either way, I'd just prefer it if I could have more than one if people are going to make tiny blocks.

Are you sure you want a mix? I reckon you're going to get a lot of blues and greens turning up, since they're so popular this year. Perhaps mostly warm with a bit of cool for scrappiness' sake, or just a wild random mix of warm? I've certainly got enough in the way of reds, pinks, oranges and yellows to make it look scrappy, but this is entirely up to you.

I have a book that has 5" paper pieced patterns, if anyone needs ideas. At least this will give me a chance to finally try out paper piecing for suziecurls blocks.

Oh hey...

!Books!

LMAO....
I have some of those... I've got a few pattern books I could look at. I just get so wrapped up in what I can (or can't) find on line I've forgotten all about my other sources. Thanks for the reminder....

As a former librarian, I am happy to remind people of books. ;)

Well, the especially amusing thing is I have a sh*t load of them and love to read, which is what makes this so remarkably funny to me.

I did one of your blocks and I'm thinking of doing a second one, since I cut triangles from squares, I have exactly enough.

Would you be up for doing a second wonky log cabin?

Let me know. :)

How funny - I totally held off on sending your block out because I was kinda holding back waiting back to hear from you on if you might want to make me two or not. ;^) I'll happily swap you two for two. =)

I guess that's a yes, then. I'm glad I'm getting ahead of the game so far. ;-)
