A surprisingly enjoyable holiday party

Office holiday party today. This year, instead of renting out the back of a bar or catering in the office, our managers booked a private room at Dave & Buster's for all 40-odd of us. For me that translated to four games of pool with three different people, two rounds of bowling, shuffleboard, a bunch of skee ball, free food and drinks, and a ( Read more... )

Wilson in fuzzy reindeer antlers? XD That disturbs me greatly.

Am glad you had fun <3 alas that I didn't get to go out anywhere nice this year, except dinner one weekend for a friend's birthday.

You read my cracktastic Christmas ficlet, didn't you? Those are the adorable antlers to which I refer.

Yeah, I usually don't do much for the holidays either, but this was an unusual treat. There's still time for you to go out somewhere.... More than a week till the end of the year....

XDDDDD House must've gotten into the really good stuff this time. Spiked egg nog, muchly? I love that Foreman refuses to wear the hat. And Chase is miffed that Wilson's kiss is longer than his. Teehee.

Most friends are away at uni or home with family. Plus, I live in the middle of nowhere. Would kidnap you, except you live in...Canada or...Scotland or something.

Ah, so you hadn't seen! Glad you liked. Maybe it was that something got into House, if you know what I mean.

Long Island, but close. LOL. Still a good day's drive from you, though, I think.

Hm. I wonder what I would sound like with a Scottish accent.

Yay! for fuzzy reindeer antlers! Now all you need is a Wilson to go with them.

*happy dancing*

Hee! Antlers. I'm never going to see them the same way again after this particular season :)

Consider it a fair exchange for never being able to read "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" in the same way again.

You're welcome! I only wish it could have been something more substantial, like a villanelle or a fic. Oh, well. We also serve who only sit and copyedit. :)

A villanelle would have been awe-inspiring! But I am quite fond of my little dreidel and your lovely accompanying message.

Hope you're having a nice time in NJ (so close, and yet...) in spite of the irritations that come with getting together with family for more than a few hours. And, in case your unreliable connection prevents any more conversation, happy holidays!
