Thanks a lot, every insurance company I can find in this county, for refusing me two months of health coverage to fill a gap between school and work in case I get hit by a car or stricken with swine flu, all because I had a kidney stone and a scan for what turned out to be a benign growth two and a half years ago ( Read more... )

health, complaining, work, tim gunn is my future gay husband

Oh, I just have to leave a little drive-by Tim Gunn love. He's so classy, and I just adore him for his restraint and for the way he cares about all these people he deals with, even when they're being emotional wrecks or downright brats.

He's just so, so cool.

The little heart-to-hearts they sometimes show on Project Runway are so sweet. And I really appreciated that when he did his makeover show a couple of years ago, instead of berating the guests he worked to educate them on what kinds of clothes looked good on different figures, and went the extra mile to give them a little bit of self-confidence counseling when they needed it.

Yup, I've seen Tim Gunn's Guide to Style and I really liked it for just that reason.

Sharp as he is, he seems to have an enormous heart and there's just no meanness in him. That quality is something he has in common with Craig Ferguson, who I also adore.

On the health insurance thing -- some multi-line insurance companies will do temporary crisis coverage (the kind that lets you not go broke if you're in an accident) if you have car insurance with them. So if you do, maybe call and see if they offer this?

Hm, I wasn't aware of that. I think my car insurance company is just a car insurance company, but I'll definitely look into it. And hope that nothing catastrophic happens until coverage does.

YAY for tomorrow I will see you (and very probably make you watch psych sometime this weekend) !!

I'm sorry you're feeling demoralized, and uncertain, though. Does the job you're interviewing for tomorrow have something about it that makes it more desirable than where you are now? I presume so if you're considering taking it even thought you don't really want it..

*cries* why am I not there for tim gunn? Why is there no channel guide on the tv here so I can find where project runway is tonight??

...Oh, hey, you just reminded me that I... just missed last week's episode in tonight's rerun slot. Alas. Will wait for the inevitable marathons.

Maybe it'll be on this weekend and we can watch it then. :)

We will talk tomorrowwwwwww
