Drabble & kibble

Those of you who might be interested have probably already seen this, but yesterday I committed iambic pentameter in SGA based on a post and comments at sheafrotherdon's. I suppose it's only fair, after doing the epic House adventure. It is called Rodneyo and Johniet: A Prologue, PG, 100 words, warning for meta and showrunner-bashing. It's at Cate's (beware " ( Read more... )

How can you not like marshmallows? Now that's just wrong *g*

I love those things, only we call them Royals. (Well, actually, I think of them as "those chocolate marshmallow biscuits" *g*)

The Wikipedia article on chocolate-marshmallow cookies had a bunch of international examples. But the shapes are all wrong. :)

Marshmallows are okay when: roasted over a flame; in cereal like Lucky Charms.

There's a Wikipedia entry on MARSHMALLOW TREATS? Why of course there is. I thought ours looked almost identical to yours, but some of them are... different *g*.

The idea of them in cereal, however, is just totally, utterly wrong. Euwww. (I thoroughly approve of peanut butter cups though, something not easy to get here!)

Well, they're not really marshmallows in kids' cereal, so much as ... dehydrated extruded colorful sugar-and-glue things. Mmmmm. /sarcastic

Your marshmallow treats are indeed like ours. Those other ones on Wiki, though -- too tall!

Ripe blueberries are reddish-purple on the inside.

I learned that the hard way.

Really? I wonder if it varies between blueberry types. I've got some at the moment that are quite tasty but still clearish-green in the middle.

Unless you mean overripe? In which case, I feel for how you found out! :)

Well, store-bought berries are almost never fully ripe, if that's where you're getting them from. My Grampa always gives me a look when I bring them in green (or, god forbid, white). Like I'm supposed to have some built-in genetic ability to tell the difference when they're still on the bush. Most likely, the people picking for world markets can't afford to be as persnickety.

But yeah, it's pretty funny that the one color they're not is blue.

(And the hard way involved my little brother, a bowl of cheerios and blueberries, a spoon-catapult, and my favorite shirt at the time.)

Now I'm curious: how do you eat a Reese's?

The big ones? I'll wiggle out the middle with my thumb and forefinger, eat that circle, and then eat the chocolatey ring that's left in a few bites. Mm. You? (There's no wrong way -- to eat a Reese's. :D )

I did not know that about blueberries. Iiiinteresting. And agh about your ex-favorite shirt! Funny, yet tragic.
