Oh, yes, I did! The mystery was so... intrincate, and so well-plotted. The kind of story that, at the end, when everything is revelated you say to yourself: of course! How didn't I see that?
The main character, James, the police officer, it's brilliant. One of those characters you feel you actually know/i> him.
But what shows how strongly the writer got me, is that I usually don't like stories in which one of the characters (in this case, James) tries to change to fit with the person he loves. I get fed-up and angry, because... NO! Doormats aren't sexy! Stop. Right. Now. And end abandoning the book because... who wants to be angry with fictionals characters? :P
And yet... here I am, having read now the second book and desperatedly wanting the third :P

I'm pretty sure it isn't a book for me, but I can quite see how it would grab someone. And yay for another prompt ticked off.
