I'm trying to make a shopping list of healthy foods...ones I'll actually eat rather than buy and be proud of myself and then toss out when it goes bad....
Generally speaking, once you've learned how to really listen to your body, it tells you what it needs. When you consume what your body needs, it's a good bet you'll equalize at a healthy weight.
I have a friend, a self-proclaimed fat advocate, who was very upset she'd lost a lot of weight. I said, "Did you diet and hate your body?" She said, "I ate whatever I wanted without worrying about calories." I said, "Congratulations, you're living the 'beautiful at any size' reality."
If you love your food, and you love your body, and you live with an appreciation for both of those, you have a better chance at being healthy than if you try to find some idealized perfect nutrition plan to magic away pounds without realising you're depriving yourself.
This is me, happy for your changes and your health.
