Thanks! I think there's something for everyone in this book. You might not like some of the stories, but I think for everyone who loves Jane Austen there will be at least a number of stories to enjoy!
How delightful! I'm always skeptical of sequels or rewrites like this, but you make them sound really wonderful! I'll have to remember to check this out someday.
Yes, I'm also always a bit careful with rewrites, but the fun thing of this book is there really is something for everyone in here as it contains such different stories.
Oh, thanks for the tip! I've checked it out on Amazon, it looks interesting, but I'm always a bit wary of stories about Jane's life. Do they treat her respectfully? Syrie James also wrote a story in Jane Austen made me do it.
I believe it does treat her respectfully. I read it a few summers ago so from what I can remember... I noticed it on one of my bookshelves the other day and had the urge to read it again. I love the style of the writing. It really transports you to that era, Jane Austen's era-the Regency Period. I found it pleasant to read.

Of all the stories you summarized, I think I would like to read "Waiting" and "Nothing Less Than Fairyland" most of all.
P.S.-
I have a Jane Austen-inspired book recommendation for you. Don't know if you read this one...
The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen by Syrie James.
Very well-written and intriguing in my opinion. Thought you might like it.
