The BBC does it again!

After watching The Mystery of Edwin Drood yesterday, it has been confirmed for me again: Dickens and the BBC remain a winning combination.

I confess I have yet to learn that a lesson of the purest good may not be drawn from the vilest evil. )

*sighs* Yet another new period drama to add to the list. It's getting so long, I sometimes wonder if I'll ever get to all of them.

But at least this adaption is a sure-fire good one!

I'm glad to hear you value my reviews so much to make you sure this is a good adaptation ;-)

Yes, the to-be-watched list is ever growing. I try to keep up with all the new stuff and watch some old (mini)series in the months when the BBC is not busy trying to kill me with all their new drama!

We have a lot in common, so I'm pretty confident that our values for judging whether an adaption is "good" or "bad" are similar. Elementary, really. :)

I just downloaded the first part of this but haven't watched it yet. I love Matthew Rhys though so looking forward to it!

Hello,
Nice to see you again, I haven't read anything from you for some time. I hope you're doing alright.

I didn't know Matthew Rhys before this, but he should win awards for the acting he showed in Edwin Drood. Hope you enjoy it!
