Of the sheep who thought he was a goat and other fables

Meet my mum's newest 'tenant' (it's actually her neighbour's sheep, he 'parks' them in my mother's paddocks sometimes): it's a sheep who thinks it's a goat! At least, I've never seen any other sheep climb up against the fence when he sees someone approaching. I was LOLing when I first saw him do it! It's a very tame sheep as well and he likes a pet ( Read more... )

Aw your mother's new tenant is so cute!

One of the things I do not like about the spring/summer is the bugs. I don't like them sticking to the walls and flying around everywhere. Do not like! I'm also too scared to look at your link for the cockchafer simply because I don't want to know what it looks like.

Oh dear! Well, actually, the cockchafer looks rather beautiful on a picture. But then again, many animals look nice on a picture, but I don't necessarily need them in my room. Like a jaguar, or an eagle ;-)

That is a very sweet sheep! I didn't know that sheep don't climb fences like goats! How interesting. It certainly makes this particular sheep so much more endearing. : )

I must say, as a "Bug Person" I find cockchafers fascinating. I wish we had a few up here in AK. I'm sorry they get into your room, though! I probably wouldn't like that either. :P

I think the sheep must have been raised by hand, it's so tame. I should ask the neighbour when I'm next at my mum's.

Lot's of insects are fascinating, but I really don't need them near me...

I've never seen a sheep do that either! Hah!

I know that window screens aren't very common outside of the USA, but maybe investing in some would be a good idea? There's just nothing good about having to deal with insects inside.

Well, I know all about window screens. My mother can't live without them and has them custom made, fitted to all the windows. I used to have a cheap, stick-on window screen a few years ago, but it broke and somehow I never got a new one. But it's a good idea!
