Thanks for sharing! Makes me miss Germany terribly. I never went to Heidelberg, but I did get to see several castles, palaces, and other historical places from various ages and places the two times I was there. Just beautiful, awesome, and inspiring.

I'm with you on the Baroque (and even the more insane Roccoco movement that followed) being best taken in small doses. There's just too much going on and competing for attention for my taste!

If you also have to work regularly, than I guess that's true ;-)

Oh, what a gorgeous trip! Those ruins are incredibly haunting. I'm sorry that the restorers chose not to finish everything. It's absolutely devastating to think about all the art, history, and architecture that was destroyed in WWII. :'(

All those historical tidbits are fascinating as well. I'm very glad my school doesn't have a school prison! :P

As always, I am incredibly envious! I'm glad you had a good time! :)

Oops, I totally forgot to respond to your comment!

Yes, it's really sad thinking about the destruction you inevitably come across while travelling Europe and especially Germany.

Oh, my, these pictures are just beautiful! Especially the details on the inside of Bruschal palace, goodness gracious! A little in love here. :)

First thing that popped into my head on reading "Worms" was Martin Luther. The cemetery looks very serene and peaceful.

Thank you so much for sharing all these lovely details about your trip. Quite jealous, but grateful I get to read and experience by proxy. :)

Thanks!

Very good that you have your Martin Luther history straight, hehe!
