Very interesting review and I quite agree with your assessment of the film. It was beautiful and emotional but lacked that certain something to make it truly special. Not entirely sure if Alicia Vikander was strong enough to carry such a big lead role. Kit , Taron and Colin were absolutely perfect in their roles. Kit is just so goregous and I was just so distracted by him in all those courting scenes hee hee. I think what the movie also kind of lacked was a strong script. A heartbreaking story but could've been done better. Still a must-see for all us period drama lovers :)
