you don't have to tell the dr any specifics - just tell them you are stressed and run down and need a med certificate to get an extension.

take care

it's the fact that I have to tell them I can't cope, I do that and then when I next apply for camp and have to write to say i'm not depressed, they say she's ok but gets stressed easily

when i was first getting my med certificates i was really thingy about what was put on them. so they put down something... boner fide illness or whatever. ask if they can put that. it was good enough for the vcaa, so it should be ok for a uni.

hang in there mate, if you were a failure there would be a great big red f tattoed to your forehead.

Sorry it's tough at the moment. Have you tried writing lists/ cutting everything into bitesized chunks?
A letter for stress from the docs doesn't necessarily make you in anyway incapable of dealing with stress, if anything it shows an adult approach to dealing with your situation and knowing that getting an extension is a far better option than handing in bad work or nothing at all. Have you tried talking to the doctor to see if there's someway they can phrase so it appears temporary? ie that you have family problems/issues back home.
Also surely if you are applying to the same camp for summer they are already aware how truly ace you are working there and are less likely to take the medical records into account??
