I'd be worried about the eye thing, though I've never had that happen while on Prozac.

Just double checking, you are on a mood stabilizer as well as prozac right? If not prozac could cause you even more problems if you are bipolar.

yes i'm on a mood stabilizer and a high dose of an antipsychotic so my doctor and i decided to give prozac a try because wellbutrin doesn't work for me. i'm aware of the risk of mania as other ssris have made me manic.

so your eyes shake too? it's like a spasm.

Not from Prozac that I recall, but they have when I'm manic (due to excess energy lack of sleep), and I have some trouble focusing my eyes due to Lithium. I'd definitely talk to your psychiatrist.

I take Wellbutrin for depression along with Lithium, and an anti-psychotic, and it worked for me. Though I know that doesn't mean it will work for you. It's very depressing when anti-depressants don't do as they should (no pun intended).

I took Prozac and only Prozac when I was in high school and it messed up my vision.

Basically, it was "height issues". Like, I looked to the floor and the floor looked a lot closer than it was, in other words, I felt that I almost 3 feet tall off the ground.

Yea, talk to you doc about this. This eye thing could lead to some serious problems.

(I stopped taking it after I told my doc this.)

you know when you're at the eye doc and he says follow my finger, and then eventually brings it right in front of your eye, so you're almost cross-eyed? when i did that my eyes started shaking like that, and he said he'd noticed that with other bipolar people. (i hadn't mentioned being bipolar, but it was on my med history thingie).

i don't remember any weird eye things from my prozac days, but i have some now, and they're either from the wellbutrin or the lamictal.

i have a problem now with my eyes going out of focus. sometimes i'll be looking at something and it seems like my eyes just slide out of focus, and everything is blurry. kind of annoying, but not really problematic, i guess.

i'm on lamictal too and have had eye side effects - mainly seeing sparks of light. but i think this is definitely from the prozac because it's the newest med added to my regimen.

How high is your dose of prozac? Mine is really low, and I've never had that side effect....

thanks! it's not too annoying now so i think i'll forego taking anything for it but it's good to know i'm not the only one that gets this.
