Support groups?

Well, well -- late nights of mania have possibly paid off in a constructive way! That or I had a moment of clarity...who knows. I did some research and I'm going to go to a support group meeting for people with mood disorders, including depression and bipolar patients. It totally depends on the support group. I know the one at our local hospital is for people who have completed the hospitals program and they hold a once a month check in. Look at http://www.emotionsanonymous.org/ A lot of their groups are mood disorder based. I went to once for bipolar persons and it was once a week, anybody welcomed.

Thanks! It was actually very simple -- just a quick visitor check-in and that was all. I found it to be a very good experience -- kind of like this LJ community in person :)

Good luck! I was in a support group for a long time and it was pretty good. I met some good people there, who have become part of my support system now that I'm no longer in the group.
