Is it me or when you are irritated just hearing someone's voice or having them talk to you makes you want to kill them or flip out? I get like that and I just want them to shut up!
That's about the only way I've been feeling toward my roommate the past few months. And when I can't get out of being around/in groups of people.
The only thing that helps is blocking out their noise with music...and when I can't do that, distracting myself with thoughts of things that will keep me from fully focusing on the person/people irritating me...
Yes, only when I'm really manic though. Usually to avoid that kind of situation, I just excuse myself as quickly as I can (or if I can at all) and just do something active in an attempt to release that irritability.
Happens to me a lot with my grandmother. I live with my grandparents and she comes into my room like 20 times a day sometimes. I get so irritated that I feel my eyes rolling back into my head.
Holy crap, yes. The problem is for me, the last couple of weeks, the thing talking at me has been my poor kitty. She talks. A lot. And for the last couple of weeks it's really been driving me batty. Poor baby.
Oh god my cat has been doing the same thing and I get soooo annoyed with her I feel like I'm gonna end up kicking her or something. It's also not always possible to get away from her because she likes to follow me from room to room. Oh I would never hurt her, shes my first kid and I love her I just wish she wasn't so vocal. TTFN
So glad I'm not alone! I wouldn't ever hurt my kitty, but last night I found myself staring at a wauling cat and thinking "Now I know why people hit their children." Gosh, it makes me feel awful.
