perhaps i am scared of abilify...
perhaps i am not suffering a true side effect at all - or at least not one of the medication itself.

It could be the Abilify. It may not be, as it takes drugs a little while to build up to decent levels in your body, but it could be if you're sensitive to it.

You could try counting breaths. If you want drugs, Benadryl is a fairly safe one to take, and it can calm you down.

It doesn't sound like it's the Abilify to me, considering it takes a while to build up in your system and it was a 2mg dosage, which is is very small. Bipolar patients usually get around 20mg.

Also, true panic attacks don't last that long. Maybe you're having anxiety about other things? If it continues you should really go to the hospital. It's not good for you to feel so panicked for so long!

and on a side note i just dont like the look and sound of abilify. That's just my own opinion, true i take meds, but there's just so many warnings with this one...
hope it all works well.

I love abilify. but, just so you know my pdoc said that at lower doses it can cause anxiety, where at higher doses it is less likely (this happened to my ex) which is why a lotof people are started at 15 mgs.

I'm on 50. Never been below 30 actually. it's been a miracle for me.
