Geodon question...

Sooo my doctor added Geodon to the mix today. Mix = 400mg Lamictal, 150mg Trazodone and now 120mg Geodon

I am on 180 mg of Geodon a day. I take it all at night. I can't deal with the way it makes me feel during the day. 120 does sound high to start. I was started on 20, took that for 5 days. then went to 40 for 5 days. and so on. I have had no weight gain at all on this med and I have been taking it for 3 years.

I had no weight gain with geodon (did gain with countless others.) I don't remember what dosage I was on- this was several years ago.

Hi,

I take 80 mg of geodon twice a day. Been on that dose for a few years. Extreme tiredness results, but it is better than the alternative... mood swings, anger etc.

No weight gain. Not loss either. Although I have lost a little since I found out I am diabetic. That sucks.

hmm I was on that combo about a year ago, but only for a while. Trazodone did help me sleep, but it also made me manic during the day... so that's not much help really.

120 mg Geodon does seem like a high starting dosage, I took 40 mg. Are you sure that's right? 400 mg Lamictal is pretty high too, I take 200. But our bodies are all different I guess.

I did gain 20 lb. I was too skinny before so I can't tell if that's a good thing or not. Sometimes I don't think so.

Yeah, I'm gonna call my doc tomorrow and ask about the Geodon dosage... Something doesn't seem right. I took the full 120mg and experienced RLS and then extreme fatigue the following morning.

Re: Lamictal-- I'm maxed out at 400mg. They won't let me go any higher. ;)
