i don't know i will EVER stop posting about my alcohol and benzo addiction. i know i'm annoying the fuck out of you all. but its really damaging a lot for me. i need help. i need to get to AA. i am afraid.

lamictal has been good so far. i hope it continues to help.

I identified more with NA. There were more people around my age and i had no preconceived ideas, unlike AA.

I did do a few AA meetings, but since mine was primarily a drug problem, NA was much more like home for me.

In Saying that, NA encompasses all drugs, including alcohol, and seeing as you have a problem with both a narcotic and alcohol, i'd fully suggest NA.

Try googling your area/phone book and call someone at NA or AA. Ask if someone can come pick you up. If you're like me, I get all ready to go and then find some reason to bail and I never get there.

I'd check with your doc re alcohol and lamictal, I think there is a warning about mixing the 2. I watch 'Rent' sometimes when I want motivation.
