This story is very in character. I love the way you kept the focus on Emily and yet managed to capture the sweetness of the LL scene.

There were a couple of sentences I would have changed slightly due to the fact that it sometimes took a minute to really get what or who you meant, as I assume those sentences weren't meant to be confusing. (For example: "They can probably recall moments in her life better than she can." Her and she can refer to different people (Emily and Lorelai - which is how I read it originally); or can both refer to Emily - which is how I took it the second time I read this fic

I think that was one of the lines I hestitated over writing it. I often get the feeling I over-use character names when I write, which is why I tried to avid that, and it ended up a little confused. That line was intended to be referring to Emily, but I definitely see your point. This is why the need for a beta. ;)

I found a link to your journal over at gg_fic. :) This was a fun read and I loved the Emily point of view. :D You have got her voice/character down pat. :D

The smile that grew unbidden on her daughters face tells her all she needed to know. She’s happy. She likes the idea of giving this strange man a lap dance,
LOL, that was really funny and I could just hear it in Emily's voice, hahaha!

Richard is busy fumbling with keys, fiddling with the height of the seat. God knows why. It hasn’t changed on its own in the last two hours, that’s for sure.

It had a good dose of Emily/Richard humour too. The Lorelai/Emily interaction Emily's reactions, thoughts were all so in character it was like getting a sneak peek to a hidden scene in the episode.

Loved it! :D It was a downright giggle and very entertaining. I hope you write more. :)
